Advance South Carolina Women is a virtual women's center, established by the Women's and Gender Studies Partnership Council and the Women's and Gender Studies Program at the University of South Carolina, to support the women of South Carolina by connecting them to the agencies and organizations that provide important resources and services for the women of the Midlands.
The Alliance for Women is a non-profit organization, established in 2004 by Columbia College. It is the college's entity in a unique public-private partnership between the Governor of South Carolina and Columbia College. The Alliance for Women is the only organization in South Carolina with a statewide focus of improving the status of women.
